And maybe, as you said it, you're not a foodie and you could care less about the food itself but for some (including myself) food is more important than just the looks. And, although I don't agree entirely with Leslie, I think that Dallas is still far behind other cities in the world of having AMAZING restaurants. I don't think that it is a matter of traveling or money.
